Also, by order of, and in collaboration with, the Dutch Probation Service, he developed a new version of the Risk Assessment Scales [in Dutch: ‘Recidive Inschattings Schalen’ (RISc)], the Dutch national diagnostic and risk assessment tool developed to help probation officers to accurately and consistently assess the risk of re-offending and dangerousness for each offender (Hildebrand & Reclassering Nederland, 2014).

Dr. Hildebrand works with organizations (e.g., Child Protective Services, Dutch Probation Service, forensic psychiatric institutions) in an attempt to develop and implement policies on violence risk assessment to ensure best practice within a pragmatic framework.

"For 12 years,

I work in youth care and in this period I have attended many workshops. The two-day workshop of dr. Hildebrand stands out because of his experience in the field of (psychiatric) care, his evidence-based thinking, his ability to transfer his knowledge to daily practice, and because of the way he adapts to a highly diverse group. His training has given me a lot of confidence in conducting one of the most difficult tasks of my profession: risk assessment in cases of suspicion of child abuse. And that's worth a lot to me!”
